Private clinic website design UK

Web design for clinics with a verifiable booking route

For private, dental and cosmetic clinics: treatment information, practitioner details, booking routes and data boundaries built to an approved release checklist.

Turing Websites designs and builds private clinic websites for UK dental, cosmetic and healthcare providers. The scope covers treatment pages, verified practitioner details, booking-system integration, enquiry-data boundaries and consent-state measurement. Pricing is fixed and itemised from £2,000, and the clinic owns the site and connected accounts.

A clinic brief your team can approve

  • Give each priority treatment or service an approved, dated page.
  • Match practitioner details to the relevant source register.
  • Label each booking action as a request or a confirmed appointment.
  • Keep public enquiry fields separate from clinical records and marketing data.
  • Assign CQC, professional-body and advertising checks only where they apply.

The build and release plan below makes the content, booking and data evidence inspectable.

Treatment content has a clinical owner

Each priority treatment or service gets an indexable page with an approved description, intended audience, fee information, location, practitioner and administrative next step. The clinic names the clinical owner, source material, approval date and next review date before publication.

The booking state says what happened

A direct booking is shown as confirmed only after the clinic's system returns a confirmation. An enquiry or callback route is labelled as a request. We document availability source, duplicate protection, unavailable-slot behaviour, notifications, cancellation or rescheduling route and the fallback when the booking provider is unavailable.

Practitioner claims map to source records

Names, roles, qualifications, registration numbers, specialist titles and treatment claims enter a content register. The clinic approves the wording and the relevant public register link before release, with an owner and date for later changes.

The data boundary comes before the form

Appointment details can reveal health information. Before building a form, the clinic records the purpose of every field, its destination, access roles, retention setting, lawful-basis owner and whether the public website needs to collect it at all. Clinical content stays in the clinic's selected clinical system.

Advertising claims have evidence and approval

Treatment outcomes, qualifications, before-and-after images, testimonials, prices and promotions receive a source and approval owner. Cosmetic-intervention and prescription-only medicine rules are added to the release plan where relevant, including the clinic's campaign and audience controls.

Release follows the applicable rule set

CQC display requirements, professional-body rules, advertising controls, company details, data protection and the agreed accessibility target enter one applicability record. The clinic's appointed owners confirm what applies; we implement those decisions and retain the release evidence.

The private clinic content specification

Six source records sit behind the public pages and booking route before the visual design is approved.

Treatment and service record

Record the approved title, description, intended audience, fee or pricing factors, practitioner, location, administrative next step, clinical source, approver and review date for each priority page.

Practitioner and credential record

Record each published name, role, qualification, registration number, specialist title, source register, profile owner and approval date. Publish only the fields the clinic has checked.

Booking-state contract

Define request, pending and confirmed states; the system that owns availability; the confirmation identifier; duplicate and stale-slot behaviour; notification owners; and the fallback route.

Enquiry and health-data map

List each field, purpose, data category, destination, recipients, access role, retention setting and policy owner. Keep marketing attribution separate from free-text or treatment details.

Care and urgent-route boundary

State what the website can do administratively and where clinical advice is provided. Where the service requires it, publish the clinic-approved urgent-help route and test that it stays visible on relevant pages and form states.

Claims and publication register

Record evidence and permission for outcomes, reviews, images, prices, promotions and regulatory marks. Label demonstrations, archive replaced wording and set a review owner for every dated claim.

Private clinic website acceptance sheet

Use this definition of done in a brief or supplier review. A row passes when the clinic can open the source, run the test and identify the approval owner.

Official clinic sources to assign at kickoff

The applicable requirements depend on country, regulator, profession and treatment. These current sources start the review; the clinic records which ones apply and who approves the implementation.

  • Displaying CQC ratingsCare Quality Commission

For a CQC-rated provider in England: display the current rating on relevant websites within 21 calendar days and make clear which provider, location or activity it covers. Some regulated services are not rated.

  • For GDC registrants and dental practices: verify qualification, registration, contact and complaints information, claims, specialist wording and the displayed update date against current GDC guidance.

  • For surgical or non-surgical cosmetic services: review evidence for efficacy and qualification claims, before-and-after content, testimonials, targeting, promotions and prescription-only medicine restrictions.

  • Special category and health dataInformation Commissioner's Office

For forms and bookings that reveal health information: identify the Article 6 basis, Article 9 condition, data-minimisation decision, documentation and clinic owner before collection begins.

  • Storage and access technologiesInformation Commissioner's Office

For analytics, advertising tags and similar technologies: classify each purpose, document the consent or exception relied on and test every agreed state.

  • For the accessibility scope: agree the relevant WCAG 2.2 conformance target and combine automated checks with keyboard, zoom, form and booking-path review.

This is a delivery control, not clinical or legal advice. Add the rules for the clinic's country, professions, systems and treatments before content approval.

Questions, answered

Can you build booking into the site?+

Yes. We first confirm the booking provider's supported integration, which system owns availability and what counts as confirmed. The build can link to a hosted booking journey, embed a supported interface or send an administrative request. Clinical records remain in the systems selected by the clinic.

Can patients see availability and book directly?+

Where the booking provider supports current availability and confirmation, the site can use that route. A successful state is shown only after the provider returns confirmation. Where the system supports requests instead, the page labels the action as a request and tells the user what happens next.

Should we publish treatment prices?+

The clinic's commercial and regulatory owners decide this treatment by treatment. We can present an approved fixed fee, range, from-price or the factors that determine a quote, with inclusions and exclusions. Where a regulator or advertising rule sets a format or restriction, that rule enters the release checklist.

Is it safe for patient data and GDPR?+

A website alone cannot establish that conclusion. Appointment details can reveal health information, so the clinic appoints the owner for its Article 6 basis, Article 9 condition, privacy information, retention and system choices. We implement the approved field-level data map, test each destination and keep treatment or free-text values out of marketing events.

What about our Google reviews?+

We can link to or display reviews through a supported source. The clinic confirms publication permission and any professional or advertising requirements. The page identifies the source, keeps the wording attributable and does not present demonstration copy as a patient review.

How much does a clinic website cost?+

Fixed and itemised, from £2,000. After a short discovery call we'll scope it to your treatments and booking needs and give you a clear figure: the number we agree is the number you pay.

Can you run our Google Ads too?+

Yes. The clinic approves the services, claims, locations and audiences before launch. We define administrative conversion events and test consent behaviour without sending treatment selections or free text as marketing-event values. Cosmetic-intervention and prescription-only medicine restrictions enter the campaign checklist where relevant.
